Trapped in my mind
With no one to blame
Thoughts beget thoughts
Like an unending stream
I wrestle my feelings
Fight back the tears
Tell myself I can do this
No change needed please
I seek refuge in nature
In silence, it seems
To help me escape
This unpleasant scene
As I get quiet
Allow wisdom to come
Let my mind settle
My spirit starts to hum
Some days I’m blissful
Others are tough
I’m thankful that most
Are not this rough
